CCG Completes 31-Home Calvay HA Window Replacement Workstream

The CCG Group has completed a 31-home, £220,000 PVCu window replacement workstream for Calvay Housing Association in the east end of Glasgow.

A total of 248 high-performing window sets were installed across various addresses in Barlanark in just four weeks, with the contract representing the first time the construction and manufacturing company has worked on behalf of the association.

The works were led by CCG’s in-house planned maintenance division, CCG Asset Management, and the windows that were installed were also the firm’s own.

CCG’s windows are fabricated in advanced manufacturing premises in Cambuslang using a PVCu profile.

A rigid, highly durable form of thermoplastic, PVCu is impervious to rot and weathering, with a lifespan of over 40 years.

The material is used to create the window profile, which is steel-reinforced and integrated with premium glazing and ironmongery.

Not only will the Secured by Design-accredited windows deliver improved security and energy efficiency for tenants, but Calvay Housing Association will also benefit, with their enhanced performance helping to lower long-term maintenance cost projections.

The Calvay Window Installation contract was procured via Procurement for Housing (PfH) Scotland.
