CCG Underway at Former Hospital for Sick Children Site in Glasgow

CCG (Scotland) has commenced construction at the iconic ‘The Mount’ building in Glasgow city centre.

Located just off Hill Street, the B-listed building – dating back to 1882 – was originally established as Glasgow’s first hospital for Sick Children, before services moved to Yorkhill in 1914. It later became home to St Aloysius’ College’s Music and Arts department.

Designed by mosaic architecture + design, The Mount will now be carefully transformed into a development of 21 high-quality build-to-rent homes, with 18 apartments delivered within the building itself, and 3 ‘mews’ style townhouses constructed on the adjoining land, for Kelvin Properties.

The project, set for completion in 2027, marks a continuation of CCG’s partnership with Kelvin Properties following the commencement of a 134-bed student accommodation development on Kelbourne Street in the city’s West End last year.
