Dundashill Regeneration Secures RTPI Excellence Award

The Dundashill Regeneration Masterplan has secured a coveted Royal Town Planning Institute award for Scotland.

The RTPI Scotland Awards for Planning Excellence 2026 showcase and celebrate the best plans, projects, homes and people, with Dundashill securing the ‘Best Homes and Communities’ accolade and overall event winner, submitted by Glasgow City Council.

Located in north Glasgow, the first two phases of residential development of the mixed-used masterplan have transformed a former distillery into a vibrant, new sustainable community.

Both phases, delivering over 160 mixed-tenure homes, have been delivered by CCG (Scotland), including the 90-home Platform 3 for West of Scotland Housing Association – Scotland’s largest Passivhaus development – and the multi-award-winning Maltings Wynd, led by igloo Regeneration, which has adopted various environmental features to make the 78 private homes among the most sustainable delivered in the city region in recent years.

High-scoring shortlisted project entries from the regions and nations are also put through for judging in the national awards and will be judged against the other projects in their selected categories for the national finalist list. The remaining four direct to national categories are also judged to complete the national finalist list of 16 categories.

The national finalists will be announced on 7 October. And the winners will be honoured at a celebration ceremony taking place in London on 3 December.
