Homes for Scotland Awards Announce 2025 Finalists

Homes for Scotland has announced CCG as a finalist across two categories for their 2025 Annual Lunch and Awards.

Set to take place on the 30th of May, Homes for Scotland will be marking its 25th anniversary, with the awards showcasing the best in class from across their membership.

CCG was the proud recipient of the People | Place | Planet Award in 2024, and this year, we will be competing in the Medium Affordable Housing and Large Affordable Housing Awards categories with three developments nominated in total.

Vying for the Medium Award (affordable housing schemes up to 100 units) will be Water Row – a 92-home, low-carbon development in Govan. The first phase of the Water Row Regeneration Masterplan, the project was delivered by CCG on behalf of Govan Housing Association and has swiftly become a recognised landmark for the south Glasgow district with its prime location next to the recently-opened Govan-Partick Bridge.

Granton Station View will be competing in the same category. The 75-home development was delivered on behalf of The City of Edinburgh Council, and is the first pilot project of the Edinburgh Home Demonstrator, an initiative that aims to implement a new approach to briefing, design, procurement and construction of net zero affordable housing delivery in the Edinburgh & South East Scotland City Region Deal. Neighbouring the stunning former Granton Railway Station building, the homes are designed to achieve operational net zero carbon, and receive heating from an innovative, cASHP (combined Airt Source Heat Pump) system housed within a dedicated energy centre located within the masterplan.

Also the product of pioneering, zero-emissions heating systems (only on a much larger scale) is the Large Affordable Housing Development of the Year award-nomineee, Western Villages. Located within 1 mile of Station View on Granton Waterfront, the 444-home development is again being delivered on behalf of The City of Edinburgh Council and is Scotland’s largest development designed to achieve operational net zero carbon.

CCG was the proud recipian of the People | Place | Planet Award in 2024

Three housing exemplars, but there can only be one winner. CCG extends our congratulations to each of our project partners and wish our fellow nominees the very best of luck. Click HERE for this year’s full list of finalists.
