North Glasgow residences upgraded with new PVCu windows & doors from CCG Group

Thirty-five residences owned by Queens Cross Housing Association (QCHA) are the beneficiaries of brand-new, high-performing windows and doors thanks to a supply and fit installation from CCG (Scotland).

Located in Firhill and occupied by tenants of Queens Cross HA, each residence has received replacement windows and external doors with over 280 PVCu Fully Reversible windows and 62 Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) Composite External door sets installed across various addresses.

Investment manager Alan Muir said: “We were delighted to work with CCG on this project to deliver brand-new windows and doors to customers in our Panmure Street/Close properties.

“We’re pleased with the high quality of the new fixtures, and we know our tenants will feel the benefit of them.”

The high-performing windows and doors are fabricated by CCG’s in-house ‘Manufacturing’ division at their bespoke premises in Cambuslang.

CCG launched a new strand to their existing manufacturing offering in 2020 with the adoption of PVCu window profiles and composite door sets through a strategic partnership with the polymer supplier, REHAU UK.

Since then, the product range has been used across the country for both new build construction projects and large-scale planned maintenance workstreams, with the latter capable of being served on a full supply and fit basis thanks to CCG’s in-house division, ‘Asset Management’.

CCG Asset Management Manager, Jim Cunningham, said: “We were delighted to display CCG’s one-stop-shop offering in the installation of these new windows and doors to Queens Cross Housing Association, a client whom we have worked with for a number of years across a variety of contracts.

“Like many of our clients, Queens Cross have recognised the advantages of our product range. Our PVCU windows as an example are reinforced with steel and have a 40-year lifespan which is a significant uplift on a traditional timber style that will only help add value and lower cost over the longer term thanks to their reduced maintenance requirements.

“We thank Queens Cross for choosing CCG’s supply and fit service and look forward to collaborating with them again in the near future.”

Samsara McDonald, Commercial Sales Manager at REHAU, added: “CCG is one of the biggest companies in the Scottish commercial market, and we are always happy to support cutting-edge projects such as these. By working collaboratively and combining our technical support with CCG’s own in-house knowledge, we can identify the optimum solution for each project, which in this case was our TOTAL70 windows and composite doors.”

The Queens Cross contract was procured via the Scottish Procurement Alliance and was completed earlier this year.
