Planning submitted at former Belvidere Hospital site in east Glasgow

CCG (Scotland) has submitted plans to build 84 new homes on behalf of Tollcross Housing Association on the site of the former Belvidere Hospital in the east end of Glasgow.

Located on vacant land south of London Road, the development, if approved, will comprise 19 one-bedroom flats, 48 two-bedroom flats, 10 two-bedroom houses, and 7 three-bedroom houses.

A play area and central greenspace, which will receive sunlight throughout the year, will also form part of the masterplan, as well as 47 off-street car parking spaces.

The proposals have been designed by MAST Architects with G3 Consulting Engineers to match those of the previous phases of residential development, showing a mix of flats and houses facing out to London Rd, Belvidere Terrace and Belvidere Avenue with an internal parking court.
