Plans Approved for 112-Home Tradeston Development

Planning permission has been granted for more than 100 affordable homes in Glasgow.

Once a site of industry in Tradeston, Cook Street – designed by abc –  will provide 112 one, two, and three-bedroom flats across two blocks overlooking a shared green space, with 10% of the allocation for those who are physically disabled or wheelchair users.

The project will be construcetd by CCG (Scotland) on behalf of Lowther, a member of Wheatley Group.

Laura Henderson, managing director of Lowther, said: “We are delighted to have received approval for our plan to transform this empty land.

“As the wider area transforms into a bustling, modern neighbourhood, we are excited to provide much-needed mid-market housing in a fantastic part of the city.”
