Western Villages Announced as Unlock Net Zero Award Finalist

Scotland’s largest ‘net zero ready’ residential development, Western Villages, has reached the finals of this year’s Unlock Net Zero Awards.

Taking place alongside Housing 2025, the awards “celebrate positive climate action from both an individual and organisational perspective, complete with categories to celebrate the success and collaboration of individuals, teams, partnerships, projects and organisations.”

Western Villages is being delivered as part of a strategic partnership between The City of Edinburgh Council and CCG (Scotland), and is the flagship development of the £1.5bn Granton Waterfront Regeneration.

The 444-home development has been recognised by Unlock Net Zero for the collaborative approach taken by the project’s partners during delivery, as well as with nominations in the ‘Collaboration of the Year (Partnership)’ and ‘New Build Development of the Year (North and Scotland)’ categories.
