Located on Argyle Street, a total of 351 Sash and Casement timber windows from Blairs will be installed by CCG over a 10-week programme.
Timber windows have been specified to correspond with local planning requirements associated with the residence’s B-Listed status.
The products will be double-glazed and installed with draft proofing around the frame to help improve energy performance, whilst the addition of loft insultation will further mitigate heat loss from the building.
Tony Mallaghan, CEO of Yorkhill Housing Association, said: “We are delighted with the new windows that are being installed for our residents. It has been a challenge to find window designs that would be in keeping with the terrace’s B-listed status while giving the energy performance needed to help people have warm homes and the soundproofing that double glazing provides.
“These, along with the other energy efficiency measures such as the Association having a joiner carrying out internal draft proofing, will make a significant difference to the comfort of our residents and the work is being carried out to the same high standards that CCG delivered in our previous contract at Overnewton Court.”
Jim Cunningham, CCG Asset Management Manager, added: “After completing a large-scale window replacement contract in 2024, we are delighted to offer our support again to Yorkhill HA.
“Working in occupied homes can be challenging however, our expert tradespeople, augmented by our Tenant Liaison team, will operate diligently and efficiently to ensure the windows are installed to the highest quality standard with minimal intrusion on the day-to-day lives of tenants.”
Procured via the Scottish Procurement Alliance, the contract is set for full completion in the spring.
